In it, you’ll find various tips and information to ensure you have the best possible experience and create the most beautiful memories together.

What is a lifestyle engagement photo session, and why should you plan one?
You’ve probably heard the term “lifestyle photography” before, right? In essence, lifestyle photography documents and captures the present moment, naturally and spontaneously, like telling a slice-of-life story. We swap stiff, posed shots for spontaneous smiles, meaningful glances, shared stories, and laughter. The focus is on what makes your relationship unique: your bond and authentic moments. We capture the real, the imperfect, and the natural, resulting in images that genuinely reflect you.
Think of it as a date—a special moment as a couple—with two smiling accomplices! We have plenty of tricks up our sleeves to help you feel at ease in front of the camera. Rest assured, everything will be done gently and with joy. No forced poses here—we embrace the moment and capture what makes you unique: the love you share and the joy of being together.
WHEN, WHERE, AND HOW?
To start, ask yourselves: What do you enjoy doing as a couple? If you had a free afternoon together, where would you go? What would you like to experience or highlight during the session?
Based on these reflections, you can imagine the kind of moment you want to live and immortalize. Once we know your vision, we can plan a session that’s uniquely yours and meets your expectations.
When’s the best time for a session?
It depends on the location and type of session you’d like. While there’s no one “perfect” time, we do have a soft spot for sessions that start in the late afternoon and extend to sunset. The golden light, the gentle warmth of the setting sun—it’s pure magic. Mornings, however, can be just as lovely!
Do you have location suggestions?
Looking for inspiration? We have a curated list of wonderful locations for engagement sessions in the Eastern Townships. Feel free to ask for it! That said, many couples come up with excellent ideas, often introducing us to lesser-known (sometimes private) spots. We’re always excited to hear your suggestions!
Will we have to pose?
As mentioned earlier, our approach is documentary and candid. We love capturing your connection and authenticity. Apart from a few tips or guidance for specific shots, we’ll let you interact naturally, offering light direction here and there. The best photos often come when you’re fully present in the moment and forget the cameras are even there.
PREPARATION TIME!
The basics: Wear outfits you love! There’s no need to go shopping for this session (but if you feel like treating yourself, go for it!). Choose clothes that make you feel confident and represent you—maybe even something meaningful.
Our little tip: Give your session an adjective or theme. It will add character and help guide your outfit choices. For example: cozy, elegant, fun, soft, etc.
A sweet bonus: Why not take this opportunity to share why you love each other? A few days before the session, jot down a few words on paper that you’d like to share with your partner. A touch of sincerity, love, and whispered sweet words can create a beautiful moment—for both of you and for us as photographers to capture!
Practical advice:
Avoid clothing with logos, slogans, or large text.
Dress for the weather and bring extra layers for morning or sunset sessions.
Spend some time trying on outfits together or lay them out on the bed to ensure the colors coordinate well. Soft, natural, pastel tones are timeless and complement most environments beautifully.
Pro tips:
Bring at least two outfits (but not your whole wardrobe!).
Accessories are welcome! Think scarves, hats, or a well-loved jacket—they add a personal, cozy touch to your photos.
Empty your pockets before the session. Leave phones, keys, and wallets behind—we’ll take care of your belongings in our bags.
If it rains, we’ll bring transparent umbrellas to add a touch of charm to the moment.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
When should we schedule our engagement session?
Your session can take place anytime before your wedding. However, if you’d like to use the photos for invitations or your wedding website, plan for 6–8 months before the big day.
How long does the session last?
There’s no set time. We like to take our time, chat, make you feel comfortable, and ensure we capture a variety of moments. Typically, sessions last around two hours, but they can sometimes extend to three or four hours.
How many photos will we receive?
There’s no fixed number—it depends on the session’s duration and type. You can expect at least 30 images.
When and how will we receive the photos?
Delivery times range from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the season.
We’ll deliver your photos via a personalized online gallery designed for wedding photographers. This gallery will include all the edited photos (in both HD and web format) and remain accessible for 13 months. If desired, you can extend the gallery’s availability indefinitely.
The gallery also offers a print shop with options like Save the Date cards, canvases, albums, calendars, and more.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and Interac e-transfers. Payment can be made on the day of the session. We also offer gift certificates—a great way to plan a romantic outing!
What can we do with the photos?
Most couples use the images for invitations, wedding websites, or as decorations for the big day. Others include them in guest books or display them at the reception.
Do you have a contingency plan for bad weather?
We’ll consider your availability, our availability, and weather preferences. If the weather is truly uncooperative, we’ll reschedule. However, rain can create stunning photos too!
